Why? What purpose does man - man or woman - woman relationships serve?

The reason there are male and female is to breed and continue the species. Obviously gays can't have children on their own. Gay is a sexual preference, and in the most base form serves not purpose to prepetuate the human species. In religious aspect God is not a big fan of homesexuality.
