You see a firearms dealer has to have a license. And to keep that license they have to do background checks otherwise any firearm that was shipped to them by a manufacturer then sold without a background check is a ten year stay in jail plus a huge fine.
Its not hard for some gang member to get a friend or family member with a clean record to buy 20-30 guns and then just hand them over outside of the store.

Some gunshops are notorious for their guns ending up in crime, and they are the ones that continue to sell huge crates of guns right to some kid who clearly is not going to use them for personal use. But profits are profits, who cares if 50 people die right?

One gun a month would prevent this from happening.

A handgun registry would also help moniter who has what guns.
