It doesn't have to be corrupted- todays corruption is in allowing the immense wealth of the few influence the political process, the lax media that doesn't cover it properly and is ofcourse heavily corrupt itself, and the populace that allows it to happen.

If you mean keeping government fragmented all over thw world, due to historical accidents and nothing more, is going to somehow help corruption of governance, think again- the ability to pit populaces against other nations -other populaces- is a useful tool in allowing corruption to occur- it keeps legitament democratic opposition fractured aswell. This is our current situation.

While power should be checked, and while balance must be retained, to ignore the vast powers of the few granted to them by wealth in the private sector, only ever watching out for the spectre of 'big government', is intellectually lazy and usually dishonest. It is the concentraion of power, under any guise, that is corrupting.

In truth, worldwide goverance is too 'small'( a poor term, byw)- simply because of this fracture. It is wrong that our leaders make war against each other, governance is about working together, to bypass lesser physical means of dispute settlement(amongst myriad other places where global laws would be far better). That is after all the point of this thread- this is the solution to war, the same solution we've always used throughout history- unify.
