A fertilised egg is hardly a life like mine, however, it has the potential to develop into a life, so perhaps it could be a life, as such, seeing this egg will likely begin to develop into an embryo/fetus.
I'm not sure. I would say it's somewhat of a life, but because it isn't anything like my life, and there it isn't 100% certain on whether it will develop into an actual baby, I'd be very hesitant to call it a life.
I guess it depends what sort of life you refer to.
