This is the sort of answer I'm fishing for. If the purpose of marriage is family, then no rights should be given to any union until a family actually exists.... namely, not until a child is conceived. Further, the use of condoms and birth control should be considered fraud against the government that gave them rights for the purpose of establishing family. Any union that does not produce children is violating this purpose and should not be recognized as a marriage. Only then is this argument for marriage consistent. Otherwise it is a double standard.
