Really is that right? Here's a list of alternate energy bills, most introduced right after the Democrats took over congress in 2007.

2007 Bi-Partisan Alternate Energy Bills Dead in Democrat controlled committees:

H.R.3807 Renewable Energy Assistance Act of 2007

H.R.2950 United States Energy Storage Competitiveness Act of 2007

H.R.2947 Energy Efficient Buildings Promotion Act 2007

H.R.2848 Solar Opportunity and Local Access Rights Act 2007

H.R.2774 Solar Energy Research and Advancement Act of 2007

H.R.1945 SUN Act of 2007
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/110-h1945/show

H.R.1772 Rural Wind Energy Development Act 2007
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/110-h1772/show

H.R. 1215 Amends the Energy Policy Act of 2005
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/110-h1215/show

H.R. 729 Home Energy Generation Act 2007

Not a single one made it out of Democrat controlled committee. How on earth are we suppose to believe anything they say? Myself I wouldn't believe a word out of their mouths if their tongue's came notarized!
Again with all this Democratic controlled congress crap. Well, guess what, they have 51 with one being Liebertraitor in the Senate. Um, dude, that isn't even a majority to break a filibuster nor a veto. There is no "control" from either party right now. So, I think it's rather more important to talk about the majority that was in charge the 6 years prior to that with a republican president in office.

Can anyone give me numbers of the majority Republican senate? I can't find them right now.

I cant believe I am actually reading Democrats starting topics on the election of 2006, and trying to pass it off as something good for them.

Have you guys been alive the last 2 years? The Democratically controlled Congress hasnt done 1 thing since it was elected, except stonewall energy policy efforts.

And we wont even get into the Schumer, Kerry, & McCastill stonewalling of no-bid contracts to Exxon and others in Iraq, which ended up sending the Iraqis into the arms of the Chi-Coms with oil contracts b/c our stupid Democrats, wanted to pass environmental laws 1st.

Idiots, the whole lot.

I'm just pointing out the fact that the Republicans are NOTHING but windbags full of hot empty promises..who desperately pander to it's base in time of need. Kinda like McBush.

Committees in the house need only a simple majority to move a bill to the house floor, the Democrats have that simple majority in ALL the house committees. Uh, it has to make it out of committee and to the floor for a filibuster, these bill were bottled up in committee by the Democrats. Had they made it to the floor and the Cons filibustered them that would be a different story, but the Democrats killed each and every one in committee. Because the partisan hacks in control of the Democrat party would rather let the American people suffer than send a bill good for America to Bush's desk to sign and take credit for and you know it. That's Change?

Or was it just another last minuit desperate promise made by a sinking Republican?
We would have been better off if they would have just built 50 miles of fence around Wasilla Alaska.
