I appreciate the fact that this post is not an attack and that you actually use good facts to back up your argument. Let me touch upon some points though. I understand that Barack hasn't run the best campaign in the world, but he has consistently tried to stay above the dirty politics that Hillary keeps trying to drag him into. If anyone is playing dirty tricks it's Hillary. What kind of dirty tricks did Obama pull? That he was not forthright in some of his answers? No politician ever answers questions straightforward, not even John "Straight-Talk" McCain.
If there are so many other viable black candidates that could run for president, how come we haven't seen any?
Also, I did a little research on Mercer Island. While it seems that the area now does seem to be affluent, this was not the case throughout the entirety of the community's existence. Obama's mom finished high-school before the 1960's, which is when the city grew substantially and experienced it's best years of growth. The area beforehand was very much rural so I don't think it's accurate to say that she was from a wealthy family, because Mercer Island was underdeveloped while she lived there.
