Bush and Powell and "slam dunk" Tenant lied to a lot of people, and they bought it. The war would have ended in Tora Bora where Bin Laden was cornered had Bush sent in enough troops. But he illegally invaded Iraq instead. As for terrorists not attacking US since 911 you're wrong again. They're already here psychologically. They enhanced people's fear of terrorism, which is a main goal of these folks. Remember the color coded terror levels? And the patriot act? Increased airline security? All this from some simple goat herders. Amazing.

Osama bin Ladin was wanted for the attacks on US embassies in 1998 and people seem to forget that Bush also lied about bin Ladin being involved in the planning or execution of the attacks on 9/11 and the Taliban had absolutely nothing to do with any attack on the United States.

Did a three year old arrest warrant justify an invasion of Afghanistan? Not in my book. At best it would have justified establishing diplomatic relations with Afghanistan and securing an extradition treaty under which we, the United States, would have had a right to demand extradition of bin Ladin for a crime that he had actually been indicted on.

The Bush administration lied about more than Iraq, they lied about Afghanistan and bin Ladin as well and many still believe those lies.
