A society controlled by central directive would not be suffering this kind of indignity. Industry controlled by government would prevent jobloss from workplace obsolesence by pre-determining professions and providing training for those chosen for each. In the meantime, our government should restrict businesses from moving abroad or outsourcing labor from more favorable labor forces elsewhere.

Proper leadership will be provided by Hillary or Obama, regardless of the comments taken out of context painting Barak as insensitive to blue-collar mentality.
A very outdated concept there. Outsourcing is because of union regulation which has prompted higer wages becase of the higher price of living. Face it, outdated manufacturing tehniques involving humans is one sure way to wreck this country as we cling to building everything stateside.

If we arent competitive then we need to wake up and readjust our economy accordingly. Let's say I had lots of cinnamon and my property had the perfect conditions for growing it. Let's also say that you have lots of wheat and are good at making bread. Now it makes more sense for me to trade you some of my cinnamon for your bread in order to fulfill my need for French Toast rather than grow it myself yes? Why should I learn to grow wheat and make bread when ou can do it and your after one of my resources? I can trade my excess for your excess and everyone's happy. Now you might not want my cinnamon and instead prefer ham sandwiches but your ham supplier doesn't like bread and would rather have cinnamon to trade for something he wants. This system is alot easier than me having to grow and produce everything I want. This is Capitalism. The system you espouse instead has everyone producing their own things and trading with no one. The problem with not trading and compromising is that it alienates people and not everyone has the capability to sustain themselves, thus you get wars. Trade prevents us from fighting each other and Capitalism is the best way to ensure that war is averted.

My logic is sound.
