The NBA is not a good comparison to the real world. The main talent in the NBA is just pure athletecism. Tons of world class athletes try and compete but can't make it because of the pressure or mental aspect, but that isn't the main roadblock for 99.99% of the population. Everyone can try-out for the NBA, but people are chosen on pure talent. This pure-talent is not a "show of racial supremacy", it is simply a fact.

In the real world, there are racist people who will not give everyone a fair try-out, even though, from a logical standpoint, it is foolish not to. In the NBA it is quickly obvious within a few seconds whether someone should be given more time to prove themselves. In the real world, it can take months to find out if someone is a good fit for a job or not because it's based on education, determination, work ethic, communication skills, knowledge, organizational skills, computer skills, etc.

Executives, owners, and coaches who are African-American will become increasingly prevalent in the future, as more players retire and look to stay in the league and get a paycheck. As more Europeans get involved in the game, the NBA will be much more diverse than it is now but it will take a few decades still.

And, for the record, the #1 votegetter every year for the all-star game is a Chinese player. The MVP of the league last year was a German, and the previous 2 years a Canadien. The Coach of the Year is an African-American, as was last year.
