It's not a question of feelings. It's a question of reality. He's a very successful entertainer--that much is undeniable. I think it bugs liberals most of all that he is a success because its counter to everything they think about society. If the US was truly so leftist, then there should be no way in hell that this guy should be as popular as he is. But the simple truth is, no one forces people to tune into his show. So people are choosing to listen to him.
And one thing I will note about him, is that no matter how much he disagrees with the left, the doesn't stoop to making debasing comments calling people a "monkey" because they don't share his view. But I see that trend a lot among liberals. If you don't agree it must be because you are ignorant, uneducated, or hoodwinked into your views. You couldn't possibly disagree if you weren't being manipulated or deceived.
Without even trying, he appeals more to the every day American Joe than most people in politics today. Else he wouldn't have the number 1 talk show on the radio today.
