Default Please, Explain Super Delegates

Maybe this has already been addressed here, if it has, I'm sorry for the repeat. I'm new though & of course have not gone over all the threads.
Isn't super delegates undemocratic? Also, how can two states primary votes NOT be counted? I realize that the DNC made some rules & Fl & Mi went along with those rules, unil....
Didn't the dems make a huge fuss about "every vote must count" in 2000?
The whole thing seems very undemocratic (small d) to me.
