Julianna Wetmore is disabled - would you abort her if you knew what she would look like?

I'd say it depends on the disability or ailment. I don't think it matter so much about the child, but rather what the parents are capable of.

To better explain my meaning, let me say that if I learned my unborn child was suffering from something like, Down Syndrome, for instance, I would abort.
Not because I have something against DS people, but because I don't think I would be capable of raising a child with special needs - a child who will need extra attention, and will remain dependant on me for a longer period of time than a 'normal' child.
I'd be concerned I couldn't raise that child properly, and cope with their needs. I'd also be concerned I'd neglect my other children.

I don't know if any expectant parant of a child with disability considers this, though. I've thought long and hard about it, and I don't think I could do it. That's just my feelings on it, though - someone else may decide themselves perfectly capable.

Other ailments like heart conditions - would the baby die shortly after birth, or within a year or two of birth? If so, I would abort, because I could not stand to give birth to a child I knew would die. I would have bonded with the child then, which would make it all the more harder knowing that child had only a limited time with me.

Minor ailments and disabilities I would consider, but as I said, it would depend on the disability, and whether I considered myself capable of handling it. Some people simply aren't cut out for it.
