I understand your thought on this being racist as explained, however I believe the second was about the lack of controlled immigration causing a shift in the American way. I really didn't understand the point of the first. It seemed he was trying to say that because people are so full of themselves and their desires today they are giving up their country to minorities. Which is somewhat of a fear-based racism.
