Speak for yourselves. There are conditions under which I fear Christians just as there are conditions under which I fear Muslims.
Under the right circumstances any religion can become a great tool for "beat on the heretic".
The primary difference between the West and the ME has little to do with the specific superstitions and group affiliations and more to do with the level of development, the strength of the economy, the political history, and the level of education.
If I am in a country where the Lord's Resistance Army is afoot, believe you me, I will be scared of Christians.
In Dearborn, MI, however, I have no fear of Muslims- which might be very different if I were stuck in parts of Palestine at the wrong time.
Generally I feel safer when around people who do not first consider themselves members of some religion or ideological quest.
