Having said that, White Fox has good intentions in wanting to redefine left and right. However, this statement only scratches the surface, not touching on what's perhaps the most important distinction between the two. It's mostly about CONTROL. While generally stated by some, those on the Left believe government should control all things economic but nothing moral, the Right believes the government should control all things moral but nothing economic.

Being the Marxist that I am, I think economics are more important in deciding public policy. Regardless, I do think that the political spectrum is about control, and I agree that it's a myth to try to separate the financial from the social. Being as far to the right as I am, I don't care if people around me decide to be immoral, so long as that does not cause them to infringe on my rights or the rights of others.
