Was the harm large? No. Was it necessary? No. The state can simply stay out of religion and everything would still function just fine.



It is impossible to take God away from the people. If God cannot survive without state sponsorship, He's a weak god indeed.

I don't demand that my personal beliefs be put on state products. Why do Christians?
