Let us take a look at just the hardware first.

Israel

Main battle tanks. 4,000 (the Merkava, arguably one of the toughest tanks on the planet)
APC 10,000
Arty 2,000
Combat type aircraft 400 (including F15s F16s and Apaches)
helos 100

Now remember that Israel has essentially been at war for the better part of a century. Battle hardened troops, and all that metal make for a bad day.

Now. Know that Iran has not had a real conflict since the Iran Iraq war, has a military budget of about 6 billion dollars (the smallest of any middle eastern country), and has no real military leadership.

Correction. Iran does have them outnumbered, but not out teched.

Perham I enjoy talking to ya brother. But the only way Iran is going to be a threat is through unconventional warfare, or a nuclear attack. Maybe a war of attrition, but both sides would have a hard time maintaining.

One of the reasons (speculated reasons) your boys are helping the bad guys in Iraq is to buy Iran enough time to go nuclear before they are stopped.
