Alaska, Hawaii, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Midway, the Philippines, Wake Island, the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, the Panama Canal, Cuba, the Guano Islands, and Liberia all came under American Imperial domination during the great age before the war and then after the second one. While we have foolishly allowed much of these former possessions to slip away, others have become a vital part of what America is today. The Marxist influence in the American left has caused them to denounce imperialism as "evil" even though the Soviets were the most expansionist nation in the history of the World, with the possible exception of the Mongols. Our real mistake during the Imperial age was not to fully incorporate these territories into the union, and not to give the locals the same rights as Americans. We also made the mistake of not taking all of Canada when we had the chances during the revolution and the War of 1812, and not taking all of Mexico during the Spanish-American war. Unfortunately, the international community of the day probably wouldn't let us finish these noble endeavers, but let their memory live on, proudly; it's the American way.
