I disagree!! Giuliani is even more liberal than mccain, but he is far less competent or likable. Romney pretended to be a conservative for the primaries, but had a history of being very liberal socially(very liberal for a republican of course).

I do agree however, that he was by far the most electable candidate they had running. The only republican I can think of who would have been a better candidate in terms of general election is chuck hagel.
