God never changes, it says that in both Testaments of the bible.

My "hatred of christians"... No, I only hate the "christians" who go door to door and talk through their teeth chanting bible verses at you and throw pamplets saying things like "Your a'goin to hail!"

I was anti-religion just like you until a few years ago, and an agnostic. I read a book called "The Kingdom of God is Within You" and it changed my whole outlook. It was written by leo tolstoy(you might know him he also wrote War & Peace and Anna Karenina). This book was the inspiration for ghandi and martin luther king, and is where they got there ideas on non-resistance to violence. And the premise of the book is that the old testament was made obsolete by the new testament because jesus said so many things that directly contradict the old testament. This book resonated with me a great deal, because I had always had a problem with the stupid crap in the old testament(like some one living in a whale, or building an arc, or living to be 900 years old). The book goes much deeper on the subject, but that is a short summary!
