Yeah whats up with the Tom Hanks bashing in here??

He is one of the good people in Hollywood. Just because the guy happens to be a liberal some people are going to bash him for no reason.

It was in large part the work of Tom Hanks that got us the WW2 monument. He has worked very hard to raise awareness and respect for veterans of that war.

Furthermore as an actor he probably one of the 10 greatest actors who has ever lived. Who was bashing on Cast Away?? The guy made it a pretty darn good movie and his co-star was a friggin volleyball.

Find me another actor who can get thrown out on a beach with a volleyball for a co-star and still have a major hit and win numerous awards. I think there are a few others who could have pulled it off, but not many.

As far as actors who throw themselves into politics, Hanks isnt really all that outspoken. He finds a few causes, but most of them are bi partisan, such as the WW2 memorial. So what if he names who he wants to win, he has every right in the world to say it.

I think of Tom Hanks as a really good guy. If we are going to bash on Hollywood people there are probably 200 people I would bash on before Tom Hanks.
