To prevent death or serious bodily harm to himself, a member of his family, or a guest in his home.

Rape is considered serious bodily harm.

GA has a very wide open castle law, as well as the stand your ground law. Simply breaking in is considered a violent act, and therefore deadly force is authorized.

She got what she deserved, and the husband was well in his rights. Legally, in that state, he still had the legal right to shoot him dead, even if he was running away. Just as long as the man was still in his home. Because you can not tell if he was running for a weapon, or not.

The Castle doctrine also removed the “duty to retreat” law in GA. Meaning. That a victim has the right to use necessary force in any establishment or place that they have a legal right to be in, if they are attacked.
It's funny how different states have a different take on this situation.

But, look at what has resulted from the word "rape". A man is dead. An innocent man who was involved with another man's wife. I mean, geez, it was morally wrong to be involved with a married woman, but to get killed? It's just wrong in my opinion.

I hope they put that woman away for a long time.
