Then it is up to you to offer evidence of this sinister allegation...

He wants everybody in the country to have government paid healthcare.
Actually, he wants everybody to have access to health insurance. He won't force anybody into a national insurance program, but a national program will exist that people can chose to take part in. He's not talking about forcing anybody to do anything.

So, no evidence of authoritarianism, there.

That would require you not to be able to refuse, and would require you to pay for it whether you liked it or not. It would also require you to pay for other people's healthcare. Once again, you have no choice. It's authoritarianism.
Except that you've completely confused Obama's healthcare plan, with Hillary's.

So, no dice.

Anything other than plain and free civil liberties, small government that protects civil liberties, and pure capitalist economics is authoritarianism because the government uses its power to force individuals to comply with their demands.
Regulation does not equal authoritarianism.

Secret courts; warrantless searches, secret torture; those are signs of authoritarianism, and things McCain/GOP supports.

Quote:
Democrats are the party of big government, big spending, and big taxes. Barack is no exception.
Republicans actually spend more. They tax the middle class more, and it's republicans who have increased the national debt.

It seems you use the term "authoritarian" for any government regulation.

By your standards, every president of this country has been "authoritarian."

In this way, your definition and your claim is false.
