It is not an issue about sexism or responsibility. It is about personal choice. I would have no desire to be involved, why should I be forced into it? It is not supporting the child, because the child will not know if you were their at the birth or the prenatal classes or not. the child will only know if the father was there for them in life, and if they are what difference does this make.
My opinion is that women make men go, because they don't want to have to explain to everyone else why the father isn't their. If you tell the other women he doesn't want to, they will all judge you right!
