Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you agree to have sex, and neither of you use contraception, and you get pregnant, and you agree to keep the baby, how then is it ok for you not to be involved in the process?

I was involved in the process, and it would have probably lasted around 10 minutes! You sound like a conservative now! Just because those are your values, that does not mean everyone needs to share those values.

There will be many activities throughout a child's life where one parent will be more involved than the other. I have a 10 year old nephew, and my sister didn't marry his father until he was 6. He lived with us for about 3 years, and he is like the little brother I never had. I support him a whole lot, but I wasn't even at the hospital when he was born.
