This is a perfect example of why the US is NOT a democracy and why US citizens do NOT have the right to vote for President. The entire Presidential election process is unConstitutional.

The rich are the ones who create businesses that provide a career and benefits to those who work for him/her. So, hurt the rich and you are only hurting the workers. High taxes---even on just the rich---have consistently shown to slow federal gov't revenues; not increase them. Give it to the politicians in D.C. and they will most assuredly find a way to spend it---some new give-away program that helps buy them votes. Leave it in the pockets of those who earned it is the better way to go.
Example: the House just passed another $300 BILLION dollar give-away to the housing industry---when most are saying the housing crisis has already passed. As usual, Congress is late on action curve as well as stupid with our money. $300 Billion---yes, BILLION with a 'b" will be given away to help just a few hundred thousand people.
And you ALL believed the Dems were truly concerned about the rising deficit. Suckers!!!<g>
