Then he's give all his weird speculative evidence on how this bloodline has ruled the earth since day one and is possessed by aliens.

Either way, you have some little factoid (a very exaggerated one) and you speculate on all the rest, oftne bypassing Acham's Razor by several miles... The end result is something you really made up yourself.

The primary difference is that in this case, you have been spoonfed the half-assed speculation by pundits who feed off the attention.
