From what I hear mythbusters only pressurized the plane and didn't depressurize the surrounding leading to skewed results. A gun might not cause irreparable damage but it could lead to a decrease in strucural integrity and it also would create somewhat of a vacuum as air moves from high to low pressure.

Please explain to me how they are required to pressurize the outside if the ratio is the same? They did not pressurize the interior to normal pressures. They calculated how much of a difference there would be, and pressurized the interior accordingly. Therefor they did not need to do anything to the external pressure.
Now, if you are going to come back at me and say that they did not take into account the air traveling over the hull at 400+ mph, then you need to watch the revisit where they did, and got the same exact results.
The pressure difference interior to exterior is only between 52–55 kPa (7.5 to 8 psi). At most you are looking at popped eardrums and some sinus problems. Movies often do not represent real life.
If the bird looses cabin pressure then the hull will actually have more integrity because there are no internal exterior forces pushing/pulling on the hull.
The smaller the hole, the smaller the problems, as it takes longer for the bird to decompress. A larger hole may cause lung damage as it may cause the bird to decompress faster than the lungs can. That is about it.

Contrary to Hollywood myth, as seen in the James Bond film, Goldfinger, people just a few feet from the hole are more at risk from hypoxia than from being forced out.

I agree with Rino. You do not have a clue.
