I am of two minds about this one. Firstly, if these people do not want US help, the US should not (*)(*)(*)(*) them off by ignoring their request. On the other hand, however, these people need help, and they likely want the US to help them, but their Government is standing in the way. So...I give credit to the US for helping these people out. Good on them.
