It's funny how the conservatives use terms like 'liberal' and 'leftist' as if they are an insult, when those who people they are directing at think of such titles as something of a badge of honor.

I think 'conservative' is the biggest insult you can give anyone, it means: racism, reactionism, xenophobia, ultranationalism, militarism etc etc.
