I'd be interested in a chart of some sort.
A chart that illustrates since say 1945 (good time period to start) the cost of the military (meaning anything, ANYTHING related to the military) vs. social services provided by the government in that over sixty year period.
I'd bet my money that defense trumps social services. Not that social services don't account for a lot of money (they do and need to be rid of), but the military...just wow.
