The pro-EU path of Serbia has been confirmed once again!

The Democratic party of Boris Tadic won the parliamentary elections held on May, 11th.

According to the first unofficial results, the scores look like this (roughly):

1. Democratic party (pro-EU, Boris Tadic) - nearly 40%
2. Radical party (Tomislav Nikolic) - 28%
3. Democratic party of Serbia - New Serbia (Vojislav Kostunica) - 12%
4. Socialist party of Serbia (Ivica Dacic) - 8%
5. Liberal-democratic party (Cedomir Jovanovic) - 5%
7. Minorities (including Albanians, Muslims, Hungarians and others) - around 7%

We should wait for the final official results on Tuesday, and see what coalition will be made in order to create the new government.

I bet lunecat and the Albanians here won't be happy about this, but Serbia will have to disappoint them once more. So, you see, we are democratic people and very sure about being a part of the big European family where we certainly belong.

The president of the republic of Serbia (and the president of the Democratic party that won the elections) created 5 principles for every possible coalition partner to embrace in order to cooperate with them on forming the new government:

1. Fight for Serbian province Kosovo's peaceful reintegration into Serbia (war excluded)
2. Integration into EU
3. Opening Serbia's market for new foreign investors
4. Improvement of the standard of living, social justice, more jobs
5. Cooperation with the International war crimes tribunal in Hague and extradition of the remaining accused, including reopening of trials against Albanian war criminals like Ramush Haradinaj
