So what? In pre-civil war America, slaves lived just fine and were never paid wages. Why would it be different in Asia or anywhere else?

Thats the whole point of slavery....reducing a human being to an object to be owned. You would not pay a wage to your cat or dog or mule...so why would you pay a wage to a slave?




They are exploiting workers. I get it. That doesnt mean the workers are slaves. It means they are being exploited economically.

Exploiting someone economically does not make them your slave.
