Is there a way to artificially do the work that bees do?
It is estimated, from what I have heard, that it would cost approximately 50 trillion dollars a year to replace bees artificially along with other polinating animals, to keep our agricultural yields at normal levels. This doesn't include polination that occurs naturally and keeps ecosystems working.

The reason its so expensive is that many plants need a specific bug or apendage or whatever to polinate. So for each specific plant that needs bees for polination purposes, you will have to design a machine or something to artificially pollinate the plant.

I think bees are incredibly fascinating and I know they are extremely important because I have a berry patch and without them, I wouldn't have strawberries, rasberries or blackberries.
