Okay, here we go.

John McCain and Sarah Palin represent what is best about this country and what is best for this country.

Senator McCain has served in public office honorably and well for over two decades. He has always positioned himself to fight for the freedoms and liberties we all enjoy in this great land.
Senator McCain also knows personally what it means to sacrifice for his ideals.
He served honorably in Vietnam, was shot down and spent 5 and half years in a hell hole, being tortured, because when his nation called, he heeded that call.

He has years of experience working with Republicans and Democrats and bringing both sides together for the good of the nation; as Commander-in-Chief, this skill would be put to the ultimate good use.

He has shown his willingness to buck the system time and time again in his public service career; but no more so than when he decided that Sarah Palin was the leader he and America needed by his side in the White House.

Sarah Palin knows a thing or two about adversity and about living American family values. She has always endeavored to put family first, while serving the great people of Alaska, first as Mayor and currently as Governor.

She brings a fresh view to what has often been called the Washington gridlock and doesn't hesitate to call foul on policies being implemented simply because "that's how we've always done it."
She knows what is near and dear to a mother's heart and America can be comforted by knowing she is there in DC to represent the great unheard voices of our land.

McCain/Palin 2008

Vote for Obama, trancend reality.

We will put off reality until latter.

john mccain and sarah palin have both the willingness and ability to usher in a new era
while their ticket is burdened by the poor standing of the president, their prospects would be damaged more by criticizing him than by publicly condemning the president's actions. that allows bush to be able to do what he remains effective at doing while still using the power of his high office: encouraging financial support from republican stalwarts out of the public's view
notice how mccain finessed the president out of attending the RNC. that is the work of a skilled politician. it eliminated any comparison and contrast between the bush policies and those mccain will implement next year. mccain's selection of sarah palin energized the public and overshadowed the democrats' convention
the maverick was a maverick once again, advocating a financial rescue despite the majority opposition of his party. mccain has the courage to stand up for what he believes, and as always, places his country first, even if that alienates members of his own party a month prior to the national election
mccain talks straight as can be seen by his fight against special interest pork and the epidemic of corruption found in DC
and if mccain talks straight, palin shoots straight ... direct and in a vernacular the public understands. she is of the people and has developed her own keen political skills while moving the alaskan economy forward. that is a skill our nation can use right now. her deep understanding of the oil industry and energy issues is another which will be put to effective use by a mccain white house
both mccain and palin have children at personal risk in iraq, yet they are the ones who insist that we stand fast against our enemies until the generals in the field tell us that the iraqis can now secure their own homeland. they understand that a premature withdrawal of our country's military backing could undermine the nascent democracy which now exists only because of the sacrifices of our soldiers. mccain and palin understand that we do not honor such individual bravery by allowing these gains to be lost by our too hasty retreat. the middle east his become too important to our security and our national economy to allow the fledgling government to become a satellite of a renegade iran ... only mccain and palin are willing to make such a commitment to this end
their platform is one which does not require the diminishment of their opponents' in order to prevail
it is time for all Americans to reflect on the stark differences between the two campaigns and recognize that only the republican candidates offer the leadership, vision, courage and experience to keep America safe now and into the future
may God bless America

I gotta say, to toot my own horn, I was impressed I was able to push my smart-ass onto it's ass for the length of my pro McCain post.
The entire time I was composing the stuff about McCain, I was thinking ahead to what I was gonna say about Palin and I managed to refrain from "And Sarah Palin keeps Tina Fey in material, can shoot a moose and knows where Russia is!"
Considering I absolutely revel in my ability to be a smart ass, resisting this was quite the feat.
I think I might have popped a blood vessel in my head.

God, I hope Doug appreciates me taking one for the team like that.
