I think the experience factor is a tough one to justify. Many presidents such as Lincoln has very little political experience on the national level. Lincoln had 8 years as a state legislature in Illinois and only 2 years in the U.S. house of reps. Obama has more experience then Lincoln. FDR was a Governor for 4 years and spent 2 years in the state legislature. Woodrow Wilson was a Governor for only 2 years. The most experienced president in our history was James Buchanan with 30 years of combined experience and I think we all know how that went. So, experience does not mean a lot with me. What matters to me is judgment and knowledge. I think the longer a politician is in Washington the more they are corrupted. Thus, making less experienced politicians more appealing to me.
