The term's origins are in "black culture".
I guess it's more precise to say it's a "ghetto" term.
And it certainly implies out-of-wedlock birth, which is a ghetto problem.
So even if it's not biologically racial, it is a term with strong "ghetto" connotation.
Fox can hide behind the idea that "ummm... we used it cause it rhymes"... but you're not going to convince me they would use that term for a white candidate named McCama.
They applied ghetto slang to a black candidate... If we give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was a brain fart, it was at the very least stupid.
And then there is the matter of the term's out-of-wedlock connotation.
They're framing the black man as "ghetto". I really cannot pretend that isn't an attempt to play to a racist demographic (and the rest of their audience, who will turn a deaf ear... and then get all excited when Fox launches their "anti-PC" defense).
Fox can only play dumb so much...
