What "your catholic methods"? Who are YOU? By the time Serbian medieval state started to emerge in the Balkans, Byzantia (orthodox) was the synonym for civilization and the successor of the great Roman empire.

When German king Barbarosa visited Serbia in the 12th century, and came to Stefan Nemanja's castle, everybody was disgusted by the way he ate his meal. He had never before heard of a fork, and ate with his bare hands. Serbian medieval rulers used golden spoons, forks and knives.

So much for catholics and their "civilization"...
