I'm an American but I think New Zealand is a great model for the world on the benefits of eliminating subsidies and allowing free trade. With no subsidies in other countries we could eliminate deficits, increase competition and free more from dependance on government.
You guys should be proud for having the guts to put farming subsidies to zero, if it worked in a farm dependent country like New Zealand, it can easily work in America.

I have some very distant cousins in Northern New Zealand who farm Kiwi fruit, I think. How is the weather there, is it warm most of the year?
