What administration in our generation produced the best fiscal results?

I agree that the Republicans in Congress did abandon their principles; in fact, most conservatives have been saying the Republicans have been abandoning their conservative principles for some time. I think that most Republicans are taking responsibility (hence Jindal's quote from the RGA), it is the moderates that aren't. They think that we need to do more of the same (pander to the left, spend more) in order to gain trust, and win elections again. I argue the opposite. The return of the Republican party is going to come from the state level, so far the states run by Republicans are doing well, and if they continue to stick to conservatism, they will win elections and gain back control of Washington.
I agree that the only place they can go for new leadership is the state governors. Federal reps have no credibility any more. They blew it. I don't believe most are taking responsibility. You only have to look at the daily news and this forum to see evidence of that.

You are correct. Our party will be back with a solid message and solutions. We let a few idiots take us down the Hannity, Rush and Colter road filled with shallow view points and trash talk. We will overcome the single issue wide-eyedand-open mouth brain dead individuals that cost us our credibility.

There are some very good Governors and House members available. lets see who steps up
