You can choose to be any party you want. However, at the same time, you don't have to be a lap dog for your party, either. That's the problem with politics nowadays. Everyone thinks they have to agree with everything about their party, and all the other parties are "the enemy" or something.

I consider myself to be a libertarian, but I also (proudly) disagree with their views concerning international affairs, and their near anarchy view of "utopian" government.
