I was merely making an observation about the surroundings people of that area live in. The middle east is hardly an area of robust vegitation and clean drinking water. Next to hell, it is seems to be one of these least hospitable areas to live in.

The only reason our government has ever involved the US in the middle east has been for the oil, and once this oil either A) Drips dry, or B) We move away from using oil altogether, the middle east will have no further resources to sustain their own well being. This in my mind is a lost cause. They are doomed to this destiny, whether anyone likes it or not. We have our own problems to deal with here at home before we go of to save the world. Like I said, OUR nation should be the first place our president thinks about when discussing nation building.
