How could the WH know whether they were authentic? They would not have access to Killian's personal files. What the dems cannot understand is that Bush authorized the release of ALL his military records a long time ago. They couldn't find anything then, so they charge that he had the files purged, or otherwise prevented the release of the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing papers.
The only really new thing in the memos is the charge that Bush defied a direct order. That particular memo has been discredited in many ways.
If Kerry had any class, he would have commended Bush's service to the National Guard. His reluctance to do this makes him look petty and insults everyone who didn't go to Vietnam. His advisers must be incredibly frustrated. And now they are blaming the WH for the memos? Does Kerry believe that Mcauliffe can say anything he wants with no reflection on Kerry?
I think Kerry and his advisers are so full of hate themselves that it prevents them from clearly thinking.
