My wife and I are not in the top 2% of income but my wife owns a small business with employees. They are usually stay home moms in a rural area with few options for part-time work where they can pick up some extra money. My wife has already calculated that if Obama were to win and raise taxes, that she will reduce the payload by an amount that exactly equals the tax increase form current levels. These low income people will lose their jobs because Obama "taxed the rich." But no problem, they might no longer have an income but they have the satisfaction of knowing that if they did they would pay less tax on it. No wait, not even that because they never made enough to pay taxes. ALL TAXES are a drag on the economy and they will always always always be pushed down so that they hurt everyone.
