Default That's illegal here.

We have very strict laws against camera surveillance in my country. It does exist but a permit is needed and they are NOT easy to come. Cameras are reasonably common inside shops but they are never hidden, the actual camera may be har do spot but it's precence cannot be kept secret. There are very little surveillance outdoors and most of it is run by the cops gardening a few selected public places, mostly in our Capital city Stockholm and similar places. I can assure you that anyone that mount a camera to watch over a neighbor are in for a hefty fine and possibly jail time as well (up to a year). On the other hand, manned cameras (not remotely controlled) are allowed to film pretty much anything short of "peeping Tom" activities.
