In evolution that is not necessarily so. Many cells of the same type could have been spawned in the RNA World setting. There need not have been only two. See RNA posts in Debunking Creationism for all the sites that tell about this possibility. I will repost all of them if you want let me know.
In the biblical account there is no other way except for incest.
