I swear most republicans must have slept through math class... I have been addressing this fallacy time and time again on more than one board with sometimes the same righty saying it over and over and over again...
First... it takes 60 votes to bring a bill to the floor of the Senate and 67 to override a Bush veto...
Second, the democrats have only 51 votes on a good day.
So bushie, let me ask you a simple math question... one even the dumbest of 5th graders could answer correctly...
Is 51 greater than 60 or 67?
so if you want to lay blame on Congress for not accomplishing anything, be sure you lay that blame right where it belongs...
at the feet of the obstructionist republicans...
and the best way to do that is to vote them out of office this November... then, if the veto proof Democratic Congress can't accomplish anything, I'll join you in lambasting them.
