Honestly, while I think you have a point overall (we really should get around to taking all authorities to task for their abuses of power), the inability of those without power to seek redress against those with power is not really a sign that those in power are justified.

It's like you basically concede the argument that Bush is evil and respond with, "And what are you gonna do about it?" Which is valid, certainly. But I don't know if it's the question you mean to be asking.
