It's not hypocritical, it's personal responsibility for one's actions. People should be prepared for all possible outcomes, not just the ones they desire. If they are as you say
unwilling, incapable or mentally unprepared to raise a child then don't engage in an act where the possible outcome is a child. If people want to have sex and be 100% sure of not having a child the they should get sterilized. I don't believe that abortion should be an option.

These are the consequences that should be stressed to children who want to or are believe to be sexually active. Tell them the truth about the consequences of sex, it can lead to a child. Why should we not hold our children accountable for their actions as well as demanding the same from ourselves?

I agree that a woman's body is her own and she can choose to do what ever she wants to do with it without causing harm to others, but as soon as she becomes pregnant she is now responsible for another life that is not her own. In the same way that parents are responsible for the children's welfare after they are born they are also responsible for their welfare before they are born. In the land of the
free you are not
free to harm someone else because they are a nuisance. The same should hold true for the unborn.
